Ayurveda

One whose physiology is in balance and whose body, mind and senses remain full of bliss, is called a healthy person.
-Shushruta Samhita

Ayurveda, meaning “the science of life”, originated in the ancient Vedic civilization of India and stands as the oldest and most comprehensive health system in the world. Its philosophy is that true wellness encompasses all realms of life – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. An imbalance in any of these energies creates illness.

The aim of Ayurveda is to improve the quality of life through balance in all of these realms, not by simply alleviating symptoms but by addressing the mind-body relationship and removing the root cause.
